Osram: horticultural lighting technology safeguards global fresh food supply

Recently, Osram has launched a new generation of Oslon Square Hyper Red high-efficiency horticultural lighting LEDs, dedicated to providing growers with customized lighting solutions, saving planting space and energy consumption while making plants more productive, significantly improving production efficiency and performance. Osram has expanded its LED product range for horticultural lighting with the new generation of Oslon Square ultra-red light.

The new generation of Oslon Square ultra-red light with a wavelength of 660nm is the flagship model of Osram Opto Semiconductors’ full range of horticultural lighting products. In addition to the excellent luminous efficacy value, the new generation of Oslon Square ultra-red light can obtain a radiant flux of 1.030mW at a light conversion rate of 73%, and a current of 700 mA, and the efficiency is as high as 5.0μmol/J. The luminous flux of 7 μmol/s enables greenhouse operators to obtain higher yields. In applications with higher efficiency requirements, the LED can achieve a conversion rate of 78% at a drive current of 350 mA, and a conversion rate of 80% at 250 mA, with an efficiency of 4.6 μmol/J. In addition to top efficiency values, the new generation of Oslon Square ultra-red light has a long service life of more than 100,000 hours and can withstand high temperature environments. This surface-mountable part also features a ceramic package and a solid silicone lens.
